SAED is a heterobifunctional photoreactive crosslinker. It is a safer easier alternative to radiolabeling proteins. The disulfide bond of SAED can be cleaved with an appropriate reducing agent such as 50mmole DTT, or 50mmole TCEP. SAED has a spacer arm of 23.6 angstroms.
