Biotinylation Reagents                   Iodoacetyl LC Biotin

The  iodoacetyl group reacts with thiols to form a stable thioether linkage

                    Spacer arm 27.1 angstroms                 

• Biotinylates, amino acids, peptides or proteins under mild conditions

• Iodoacetyl LC biotin is not water soluble so a small amount of DMF or DMSO should be added

• Reacts specifically with thiol groups to form a stable thiol-ether bond

• Soluble in DMSO and DMF

• Extended spacer arm reduces steric hindrance

• Biotinylation occurs between pH 7.5-8.5

• Protect from light during use
