Sulfo EGS is a water soluble crosslinker that contains amine reactive sulfo NHS ester ends around a 12-atom spacer arm, which can be cleaved by treatment with hydroxylamine at pH 8.5.

Spacer arm 16.1 angstroms. Homobifunctional reagent. Water soluble analog of EGS. Cleavable with hydroxlamine and offers reaction conditions similar to EGS. Can be used for reversible immobilization of proteins through their primary groups. Purity >80%.
